Alchemy is not self-sealing, which means you choose the finish — keep it raw and matte or enhance it with waxes, glazes, oils or a durable poly topcoat.

Basic Prep for Alchemy
Most of the time all you need to do is give your piece a good clean with Fusion TSP Alternative and allow it to dry. For glossy or very slick surfaces, a quick scuff sand or a coat of Ultra Grip will give extra peace of mind. For tannin heavy woods, a stain blocking primer is helpful before painting in lighter colours.
Once your piece is clean and prepped, you can apply one to two coats of Alchemy, allow it to dry, then decide how you would like to finish and seal it.
